Design Services &
Product Sourcing

Creative Material’s Design Services and Product Sourcing Department operates out of a massive architectural library filled with nothing but tile, glass, LVT and other surface material.  Commercial clients call on this specialized department for no-cost services such as product sourcing, mood board sourcing (clients send us their mood boards and our team sends back a surface material mood board with options fitting the designer’s concept), and pattern layouts and designs.

When designing commercial spaces, this team understands the critical details involved, such as nominal sizing, technical requirements, and which manufacturers produce different surface materials most efficiently (which helps lower costs).

Pattern Layout | Chroma, Creative Materials Rendered Elevation, Page 1. The interior designer working on a corporate Interior fell in love with Creative Materials’ Chroma collection. The designer selected 4 colors that worked with his client’s logo and color scheme. He wanted to create a herringbone pattern with Chroma but was unsure on how he wanted it to look and didn’t have much time to explore various options. Design Services quickly created multiple looks for the interior designer. The designer selected this fading herringbone effect because of the movement and boldness this design would create in his client’s space.

Utilizing various textures and surfaces from the Journey collection, the team developed a modern layout in a contemporary color. Pattern Layout | Modello, Creative Materials, Page 1. The Interior Designer working on this hotel lobby wanted to create a design with a hexagon that started on the reception desk and continued up the wall behind the desk. Creative Materials’ Architectural Sales Consultant (ASC) showed the Designer our Modello Collection and thought that was the perfect look for this space. The Designer showed the ASC an inspiration image with the look they were trying to achieve. The ASC reached out to Creative Materials’ Design Services to see if they could create this look with our Modello Collection. Design Services created a rendering of the design, as well as a tile pattern layout indicating the location of each tile in the design. Since this design was challenging from an installation standpoint, Design Services had this drawing reviewed by Creative Materials’ Quality Assurance department to ensure there would not be any issues with our drawing during the installation.
